Grandfather sleep
I think about time long ago – I think about the road and
place we’d always go
Laying across a bed up high – above the world safe in
that place and you would drive
There was that lake so far away – a place where you
played your guitar and we were free
We were just kids you were our world – you gave us
life and gave us voice to sing
And now I know you’ve passed your memory lives
on… in a place where I have learned to silence as the
days go on… and I miss all of the happy memories my
eyes tear up… I Still see your face clearly as I strum
on that guitar you gave me …
Grandfather sleep…..
6th grade was such an awkward time – things were so
strange as I tried just to get by
My father left some time ago – You were a rock for me
I should’ve let you know
I think you knew this all along – you gave me my first
guitar and a song
Looking back everything’s clear – I try to hide what’s
been a few hard years…Since you passed
And now I know it’s time to close all of those doors
And try to think of ways to put a shining light on all
these thoughts… as I ramble on and lose my mind and
try to come to terms… with the fact that you are gone
and I strum on this guitar you gave me…
Grandfather sleep…. Rest in peace….
Grandfather sleep…. Rest in peace….
Now I’ll wear you on my sleeve….
Thank you for all you gave to us – our family may fight
but we have trust
A bond cemented by your song – we will march
forward with you gone
I think about time long ago – I think about the road and
place we’d always go
I think about the family – I hope you left knowing how
much you meant to me
I sit alone in a room with my guitar for company
Yes that one you gave me all those years ago that
set me free - I write a song about the good times and
all the memories - I bow my head as my hand comes
around to A on that guitar you gave me
Grandfather sleep…. Rest in peace….
Grandfather sleep…. Rest in peace….
Now I’ll wear you on my sleeve…

Did you find my picture
Buried inside a box
ransacked trash we call memories
You pulled the trigger
You killed the future
You tore the threads apart
Splitting seams, splitting worlds
Don't comeback and cry to me (Don't comeback)
Don't comeback and lean on me (Don't comeback)
Don't comeback and preach to me (Don't comeback)
You found the easy way out
You turned your back
You packed your bags and them you ran away
You broke this record
Straight in two
You dropped this needle
Dropped this needle hear it skip
Don't comeback and preach to me (Don't comeback)
Don't comeback and cry to me (Don't comeback)
Don't comeback and lean on me (Don't comeback)
Don't go now!

Ghosts Of The Playground

Where does it end
Gotta handful red and blue - one thought - a little skewed
Gotta half full bottle of jack
Laid up on my bedroom floor - awake
We’ve already made our bed
bring yourself to close - afraid to touch down
The writings on the wall
I Almost lost my mind within this moment
There’s gotta be a better way - It's not over
Try to be a better man - It's not over
This event won’t be televised - It's not over
Time to be alive, time to live again
We've all felt the brawl
Where life gives us salt our wounds too fresh
We all make a choice
No more giving our fortunes away
Woah! Lets set this world on fire
Woah! Tonight - We’ll give them something to talk about
give them a story worth of living - time again, again, again and again
Woah! Your heart wrapped around my soul
Woah! Tonight - You caught me in a moment
Now It’s time to find a way, such a great time to be alive

Big Time

Every time I walk away
I feel your eyes staring on
watching every move I make
Just as I turn to run
I see your face looking on
beating me at every race
woah
woah
I beat myself at every game
woah
make my move - big time
throwing in all my chips at once
I always bet on black
no time to play it safe
choices i’ve made in the past
reflect my state of course
light that fire kick the tires
don’t walk away boy
